Tuesday’s Book Talks

Its a new week, fall is approaching with the warm afternoons and cool nights. I think that the more the weather gets colder the more fun it becomes to read. It gets too cold to go out so the best thing to do is curl up next to the heater or fire place with a good book, a cup of tea or hot chocolate and baked goodies. Oh well, winter is not here yet, so I’ll talk more about that later.

Cursor's Fury

If you have been following my blog you’ll know that I started reading the Codex Alera series. I currently reached the first quarter of book 3 (The Cursor’s Fury) and I got bored. Yes, bored. I loved the second book but I just can’t seem to be interested in reading the third. So I did what I always do when I get into this situation. I leave it and start another book. This does not mean I won’t get back to it. I still love the series but I think reading the books back to back is not a good idea. Does this ever happen to you?

Th17347382e book I started reading is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. And yes it’s the first time, not a reread. I never read the Harry Potter books growing up (I don’t know why) but I have seen the movies which I enjoyed a lot. However, from the books I’ve read so far, I’ve noticed they have more details than the movies and they’re fun to read so I’m having a good time. I wish it was available in Audible, I’m sure it would have been a fun listen as well.

And recently I started to get interested in Historical Fiction stories in the Victorian and Renaissance periods and was looking for such books on goodreads to read or listen. I don’t know what books are popular (I only know of the author Philippa Gregory) so if you have any recommendations do let me know : ) .
